What It Is: A new pizza place in the West Village from the people behind Rosemary’s
Perfect For: First / Early-In-The-Game Dates
At some point in your NYC life, you’ve probably been to Rosemary’s - for brunch, dinner, or just to wait in a long line of people who also feel like drinking wine and eating decent Italian food. Now the people behind Rosemary’s have opened Rosemary’s Pizza - and we can report that it’s pretty good. The crust is thin, dense, and chewy, and there are some interesting topping combinations like fennel, honey, and guanciale. That said, the pastel-green space feels a little cheesy (like the Disney version of a farmhouse) and there isn’t much to eat here besides pizza.
The Verdict: If you want to sit at a Super Cute place with a friend and have a pizza and a spritz in the West Village, we’d recommend Rosemary’s Pizza. Although there will probably be a wait.
