Pure Thai Cookhouse is one of the best Thai restaurants in the city, despite having a name that makes it sound like a line of vegan noodles from the Whole Foods freezer section. Speaking of noodles, most of the ones at Pure Thai are handmade, so focus on those dishes, and make sure to start with an order of vegetable dumplings.

There are plenty of spots to grab amazing ramen in New York. While Tabata isn’t the best, it’s a great Midtown option. Tabata is nothing fancy, just a straight up soup shop without any bells and whistles.

Five years after it opened, the original location of Totto Ramen is still packed pretty much all of the time. That's because it's still awesome.
