Pachanga Patterson is a casual Mexican spot in Astoria serving very good tacos and large plates. We’re fans of the adobo shrimp tacos with mango, and the slow-roasted pork flautas with chili mayo and crumbled cheese. The narrow space has bar and table seating, and they play loud music like The Killers and Run-DMC. During nice weather, the big backyard is a great spot for a group dinner and some margaritas with housemade hibiscus syrup.

Taverna Kyclades is a classic spot in Astoria for family-style Greek food. Order whatever whole fish sounds best, and get a side of melt-in-your-mouth lemon potatoes.
