Outer Heaven describes itself as a “microclub,” which is exactly what it sounds like (an especially small club). Geared toward dancing, this little spot on the Lower East Side plays house, disco, and techno through a sound system designed by the founder of Cielo and Output. The space has a minimalist Japandi-style interior, and it’s divided into two small rooms: a bar with a subtle anime theme and a dance floor with a DJ booth. There are also a few arcade games tucked to the side, and you'll find a comic book stand at the entrance. If you want to stay out late listening to electronic music downtown, this is the place. Bottle service is available, because microclubs are clubs too.
