Mo’s Original

Mo’s is just a neighborhood ramen place in the same way that Timbaland is just a Virginia-born record producer. Which is to say, this is way more than just a ramen spot. These people smoke their own meats and serve them with ramen noodles in a jerk-seasoned broth. If you’re wondering whether these unusual Japanese-Caribbean mashup dishes really work, the answer is yes. Our favorite, the spicy miso option is the perfect combination of salty, sweet broth and smoky, juicy meat in a huge bowl of noodles. Plus, this restaurant is from the people behind Glady’s, so it’s no surprise that everything costs less than $15. Come to this Prospect Lefferts Gardens spot for a weeknight dinner, a weekend date, or by yourself whenever you’re in the mood to be sedated by way of jerk ramen and sake.
