Millie’s is a casual Cuban spot in Bushwick from the same people behind a grilled-cheese place called The Wheelhouse, which is a block or so down on Wilson Avenue. The space is a nice little room with old photographs of Havana street scenes, plus ceiling fans spinning at a pace that provides minimal air flow and maximum vintage value. The menu here has classic Latin dishes like Cubanos, tres leches cake, and some really good ropa vieja - and you can also pick a protein and put it on a salad, sandwich, or platter with black beans, sweet plantains, and rice. Come here for a casual weeknight meal with a friend, or stop by to pick something up before heading straight to the couch in your apartment.

A nice, big Bushwick restaurant with interesting pastas. It's not quite a destination, but it's a nice addition to the neighborhood.

Reasons to visit Coppelia? It's cheap, it's open 24 hours, and for a diner, it's pretty good. Good enough.
