For the money, Max is the best Italian in all of New York City. A long-standing Infatuation favorite, Max has been in heavy rotation for years. It's the kind of place that seriously cares about customer satisfaction and it's apparent through their food as well as their service. Don't love a dish? They'll happily bring you something else. If they recognize you as a regular, don't be surprised if dessert is on the house. The vibe is low key and homey; it feels like eating in your Italian friend's grandma's dining room. In the back of the restaurant, the huge outdoor patio area is key for warm weather hangin' and grubbin'. Portions are generous and for an average of eleven dollars per entree, you can't go wrong.

Food Rundown:

Bruschetta Al Pomodoro
Three huge pieces of soaked Italian bread, toasted and loaded with tomatoes and garlic. There's nothing like some good bruschetta to kick off a nice Italian meal.

Oh man. Just thinking about this makes me hungry. It's like 9 layers high, sticky with cheese, all beef with a stellar sauce. Their homemade recipe is big in size, big in flavor and completely addicting.

Fettucini Al Sugo Toscano
My personal favorite dish on the menu, I get this just about every time I come. A heaping portion of homemade fettucine with Max's tomoato meat sauce. The chunks of meat are huge and there's a kind of creamy factor to the sauce that really hits the spot.

Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina
If you read our reviews you know how much the Infatuation loves to get down with some gnocchi. For eleven bucks, you won't find a better bowl of gnocchi in this neck of the woods. It's served with fresh mozzarella in a tomato sauce.
