Margot
Margot is a cool place that serves cool food. We’ve said that before, but we mean it this time. You’re guaranteed to try something new at this Fort Greene restaurant, whether it’s a sweet potato with trout roe or a deceptively light serrano bean salad topped with an electric green sabayon. The menu is brief, quirky, and similar to what you’d find at a Parisian wine bar that sells its own tote bags, which is exactly what this place feels like. Grab a little table near the windows up front, enjoy a few interesting bites, and chat with the owners who float around like hosts. Just be aware that portions aren’t huge, and you’ll probably have to listen to a speech about “two to three small plates each.”
