The interior of Malai Marke has copper pots hanging on the brick walls and a long row of booths with tables and chairs. The kitchen is seen through a window in the back.

Malai Marke is our favorite Indian place on 6th Street. Which is saying a lot, because there are a ton of Indian places on 6th street. You can get your usual chicken tikka masala here, or you can get your chicken about fifteen other ways. There’s even a smaller menu within the regular menu that features Chinese-Indian things like hot garlic shrimp. We especially like the lamb dishes, however, and if you’re vegetarian (or a vegan), there are many great options for you as well.
