There used to be a Mexican restaurant called El Atoradero Brooklyn in Prospect Heights, but then it got a new chef and changed its name to Madre Mezcaleria. Other than that - and the fact that there’s now a very long mezcal list to choose from - not a lot has changed. The food itself still isn’t worth traveling for, but if you live in the area, it’s a decent spot to know about. The tacos are fine, the mole is pretty good, and there’s a nice little back patio.

Faun is an excellent neighborhood spot in Prospect Heights serving seasonal, Italian-inspired food. Eat pasta on their patio whenever possible.

Zaragoza is an excellent place for a quick Taco Fix in the East Village. Although eating in is an option, this should only be thought of as a Serious Take-Out Operation.
What was once called Rockaway Taco is now called Tacoway Beach. The good news? The fish tacos are still the best in town.
