The TL;DR on LoHi is that it’s just a f*cking big rooftop bar in the industrial part of East Williamsburg that could also be correctly categorized as Bushwick. And in a city where big rooftops are rare, that’s a good enough reason to come here - ideally during the day with a group and several rounds of chuggable hibiscus mezcal cocktails.
Elsie is a rooftop bar a block from Times Square, and it’s a surprisingly nice place to get a cocktail. Stop by after work, and maybe bring your boss.
CloudM is the rooftop at the CitizenM Hotel on the LES. It isn’t the coolest rooftop in the world, but it has a great view, and it stays pretty quiet.
Win Son is a great place in East Williamsburg where you can eat Taiwanese specialties like lu rou fan while hip-hop plays in the background.
The Met Rooftop is a large rooftop bar on top of the museum that has an excellent view of Central Park.
