Jack and Fanny’s is a bar on the Upper East Side with a subtle ’70s theme, and it’s one of our favorite places to drink in the area. There are some couches up front, a bunch of booths to the side, and a big bocce ball court in the back. Sure, we hardly ever think to ourselves, “We’d like to play some bocce ball right now,” but it’s still nice to know it’s an option. So bring a date who likes to get competitive, or just come with some friends who appreciate a good bar. The cocktails are great, and there’s plenty of seating.

Earl’s in East Harlem serves lots of beers and lots of things with cheese. It’s also a great spot to watch sports.
