In Sheep's Clothing
In Sheep’s Clothing is a music collective that hosts events, covers the music scene, and runs a vinyl shop in LA. They also used to have a Japanese-style listening bar (which our Los Angeles colleagues spoke of fondly), but it closed during the pandemic. Fortunately for any fans of ambient music and vintage Japanese folk rock, they now have a location in NYC, hidden behind a sliding door in the back of Port Sa’id, an enormous Israeli restaurant in Hudson Square. The speakers are impressive, the playlist is vinyl, and the space is roughly the size of a Sprinter van. They don’t take reservations, so get here early if you want to browse some records, drink Japanese whisky, and enjoy an impressive analogue listening experience.
