Honeycomb
Honeycomb is one of several NYC spots inspired by the analogue listening bars of Tokyo. It’s a great place to geek out over some hard-to-find vinyl, although this Park Slope bar at the northern end of 5th Ave doesn’t take itself too seriously, so you don’t have to worry about getting quizzed on John Coltrane’s discography as soon as you walk in. The room is dark and narrow, with just a few tables, a bar lined with heavy leather stools, and a couple of turntables. You'll probably hear some kind of jazz on the stereo, and you can chat with your bartender about it while they fix you up a drink. Try the cocktail with gin and truffle honey. It’s sweet, savory, and confusingly delicious.
