There are three other Felice locations (including a wine bar next door), hence the “83.” They’re owned by the same people behind Sant Ambroeus, if that gives you an idea of what goes on here. Think good-looking space and solid food that’s probably a little more expensive than it should be. But if you’re taking someone out on the UES and you aren’t ready to sell the rights to your name for a meal at Daniel, Felice is an option. There’s also some outdoor seating in the summertime, which is perfect for when you want to monitor the traffic on First Avenue while you eat your pasta.

Nica Trattoria is an old-school (and cash-only) Italian spot on the UES where you’ll probably meet the owner and eat some gnocchi.

Review

Pho Shop isn’t anything too fancy, but it has the best pho on the Upper East Side. Stop by on a Tuesday night or just get yourself some delivery.

At Peng’s, you can get a variety of noodle and rice dishes. It’s some of the best casual food on the Upper East Side, especially if you like ramen.
