Despite the fact that you can get a very serious dinner here (burger, steak, oysters, etc.), Extra Fancy feels less like a restaurant and more like a neighborhood bar. It’s a spot to meet up with friends for some casual drinks and/or maybe talk to a stranger late at night. They also serve food until 2:30am., so if you’re hungry past midnight, stop by and eat a lobster roll at the bar. This is a great place to either start or end your night, and there’s also a nice yard for summertime drinking.

It can be annoying to deal with an unpredictable situation, but for pizza this good, we’re willing to deal with it. Brooklyn's Lucali is incredible.
The Four Horsemen
Part natural wine bar, part restaurant, The Four Horsemen is one of our favorite places to drink and eat in Brooklyn.
Lavender Lake could get away with being a just great bar with a large outdoor patio. However, it scores extra points from us for putting some care into curating a small but solid selection of bar snacks and entree sized plates.

Docks Oyster Bar & Seafood Grill
Docks is a good spot for Happy Hour drinks and snacks near Grand Central.
Pearl Oyster Bar
Almost everything on Pearl Oyster Bar menu is fantastic, but what really keeps us coming back though is the fried oyster sandwich.
North River Lobster Co.
The food at North River Lobster Co. is regrettably mediocre. Then again, we never expected more from a floating restaurant in the middle of Midtown fart-tastic touristville.
Suggested by our writers
Lobster Joint is closest thing to a clam shack that you can find in Greenpoint, and it's absolutely perfect for summer day drinking.
Radegast Hall & Biergarten
If you're looking for a big spot for day drinking Williamsburg, try Radegast. It can get a little crowded, but maybe that's what you're looking for.
