Let’s sort a few things out really quick. The original Emily (an Infatuation 9.1) is in Clinton Hill, and they do round pizzas, small plates, and a very good burger. Emmy Squared (an 8.4) is a Williamsburg spot from the same owners, and they do rectangular pizzas (as well as a very good burger). The Emily in the West Village is sort of like a combination of the two. It’s in the cozy bi-level space that used to house Blue Ribbon Bakery, and they do rectangular pizzas and round pizzas - although not the one’s you’ll find at the other two spots. And if you ever can’t decide between Indian food and a burger, you can come here and get a lamb burger topped with papadum. Just be sure to have a pizza as well. We suggest the one with chicken, blue cheese, and wing sauce. It tastes like something an extremely gifted toddler would make you for your birthday, and we mean that in the best way possible.
