Head to the middle of Times Square, walk 100 paces south, and that’s about where you’ll find Elsie Rooftop. It’s on the 25th floor of a nondescript office building, and if you ever need a break from all the tourists on the street, it’s a great place to grab a drink. The little indoor space looks kind of like 1920s cocktail bar where you’d find a bunch of people in formalwear drinking champagne, and there’s a big wraparound terrace with couches and shrubbery. Bring a few of your coworkers after you leave work in a nearby building, and try to find a way to charge your drinks to your company.

Sushi of Gari 46
A Midtown West/Times Square location of this classic New York sushi restaurant. Sushi of Gari is a solid option for the area.
It seems like lately, all of the Korean food we’ve been eating has been of the “trendy re-interpretation” variety. While we’re fine with that, occasionally we get a craving for a more traditional meal, and for that, we head to Madangsui.

The Pod 39 Rooftop Bar is a great place to grab an outdoor drink in Murray Hill. Although if you go on a weekend, expect crowds.
