East Wind Snack Shop
If you want a solid dim sum-style meal without leaving Windsor Terrace, East Wind Snack Shop is your best bet. The menu here is small, but almost everything on it is worth trying. The pan-fried juicy pork buns are on par with some of the best in the city, and the “Incredible Har Gow” show up to the party dressed in a luxurious lacy skirt with a drizzle of abalone sauce. They have a few larger plates too, as well as an assortment of drinks that includes a solid honey lemon tea. Keep in mind, though, that the menu at the Windsor Terrace shop is substantially different from their Carroll Gardens location where they make their famous dragon’s beard candy.

Food Rundown
Pan Fried Juicy Pork Dumplings
They grind their own dumpling meat at East Wind Snack Shop, and these pan fried pork dumplings are the perfect vehicles to showcase the quality and care this place puts into their food. The juicy filling is so flavorful you won’t even need dipping sauce.
The Incredible Har Gow
If you want to see a dumpling skirt done right, get these har gow. They’re so delicate that it’s easy to crush an order or two before moving on to heartier fare.
Sweet Chili Ribs
The perfect dish for when you want exactly four bites of fall-off-the-bone rib meat. These are sweet, a tad spicy, and super tender. The jasmine rice they’re served on feels like a bit of an afterthought, but that’s forgivable.
