Greenwich Village has a new bakery that specializes in kolaches stuffed with everything from strawberry rhubarb jam to bacon, egg, and cheese. The original Brooklyn Kolache in Bed-Stuy has been making these round Texas-style pastries for nearly a decade, but the Manhattan spot has some new flavors like a sausage, egg, and cheese kolaches filled with meat from Faicco’s. They sit just two blocks south of Washington Square Park and have plenty of sidewalk seating. But if you need another reason to stop by soon, know that they’re offering a glitter-covered Pride Roll for the month of June and will be donating 100% of the profits to the Ali Forney Center, a non-profit dedicated to helping homeless LGBTQ youth.
