This isn’t big or fancy, but it’s sort of like a little Italian-American Eataly. They sell stuffed peppers, octopus, pasta, fried cauliflower, and every kind of meat or cheese you would ever want on a sandwich. They also sell sandwiches - many of which are seriously unhealthy (think french fries, ranch, bacon, and cold cuts). This is a purely a takeout operation, so come here for a quick lunch that’ll make you want to either run a marathon or take a nap, depending on what sort of person you are.

Call Box Lounge is a dark, cash-only bar in East Williamsburg that’s a fun place to go with a group when you want to dance.
The Richardson is a bar beside the BQE in East Williamsburg where you can get a good cocktail and retreat to a corner with a date.

2nd Ave Deli
When the original 2nd Ave Deli closed, lots of New Yorkers channeled some nostalgic rage. At the new Murray Hill location, the old school charm may be gone, but the matzoh ball soup and pastrami sandwich have remained pretty much untouched.
Checking back in on Parm, now that the hype has died down. Three years later, the sandwiches are still excellent, and the novelty still makes up for the rest.
