The next time you don’t know exactly how big your group will be, when they’ll arrive, how late they’ll stay, or how hungry they’ll be, head to Ainslie. This converted warehouse near the Lorimer L stop in Williamsburg has two bars, an outdoor patio, tons of tables, and a DJ booth - and that’s just the first floor. The second looks like a ski lodge in Aspen, and above that there’s a big open-air rooftop (which isn’t open quite yet). But the best part is that if you wander in with half the people in McCarren Park, you’ll find food that’s better than anything you’d expect from places you typically reserve for Happy Hour or day drinking. We especially like the juicy burger topped with prosciutto and gorgonzola or a pizza with pancetta and a runny egg. Whether you stick around until the DJ closes the place down at 3am is up to you.

More spots in BrooklynSee more
Five Leaves has been a Brooklyn hipster staple since 2008. We don't love it as much as other people seem to, but brunch is good, they do a solid burger, and the scene is always entertaining.
Tom’s is a Brooklyn classic for breakfast and lunch since 1936. You know what’s kept them in business for so long? Free stuff. That, and really good sausage.
La Isla Cuchifritos
We love La Isla Cuchifritos for the fact that a) it’s cheap and delicious, and b) it sort of feels like you’re grubbing in tropical Puerto Rico rather than not-so-tropical Brooklyn.
More Bar Food spotsSee more
Looking for a good place to post up for a night of game watching, beer drinking, and good grubbing? Reservoir is the place to do it. Underrated bar food.
Jones Wood Foundry
A great British pub that will help you solve all of your Upper East Side problems, or at least the ones related to food.
Clyde Frazier's Wine and Dine
In truth, without a basketball court and Walt Clyde Frazier's involvement, we wouldn’t be talking about the Wine and Dine. The space is massive, the layout is clunky, but the food is pretty good. If you're a hoops fan, it's a must visit.

Radegast Hall & Biergarten
If you're looking for a big spot for day drinking Williamsburg, try Radegast. It can get a little crowded, but maybe that's what you're looking for.
