With its red leather booths and Art Deco decor, The Lambs Club is a very Midtown place. It's a little stuffy, but the food is reliably good.

This loud Midtown restaurant serves steaks and big portions of solid Italian food in a massive space.

If you work around Hudson Yards and need a place to unload about your day over really good cocktails, come to Chez Zou. You'll feel right at home.
Kosaka
Kosaka is a small, upscale sushi restaurant in the West Village that has one omakase in a tranquil setting.
Marea
Marea in Midtown makes some of the best pasta in NYC. You must order the bone marrow and octopus fusilli.
River Cafe
The River Cafe is a nice spot for '90s-era fancy food with a breathtaking view of the Manhattan skyline.
Kyu
Kyu in Noho is a great group dinner spot with a menu that takes inspiration from Thai, Japanese, and Korean cuisine.
Casa Carmen
Casa Carmen is an upscale Mexican spot in Tribeca, and it's the only place where you can get signature dishes from the well-known El Bajío restaurant empire outside of Mexico.
Frenchette
Frenchette is a French brasserie in Tribeca with an energetic room and a constantly-changing menu of rich dishes.
Le Bernardin
Forgive us for this controversial take, but Le Bernardin is as fantastic as it's billed to be.

Loring Place is an upscale Greenwich Village spot that should please just about everybody.

Blue Willow is an upscale Chinese restaurant in Midtown that specializes in Szechuan and Hunan food.

Balthazar is a Soho institution—a French brasserie that will get the job done for almost any situation.
Gaonnuri
Gaonnuri serves KBBQ on the 39th floor of a building in K-Town. You'll pay a sky tax for food you could easily get on the street below, but the view is incredible.
Casa Apicii
Casa Apicii is the West Village Italian restaurant you hit up when you need to feel like an oligarch. An oligarch who loves pasta.
Blue Ribbon Sushi Bar & Grill
Somehow, the Blue Ribbon brand’s new spot is just as excellent as its other outposts, despite being in a Midtown hotel. This spot is expensive though.
The Clocktower
The Clocktower in the Edition Hotel is a Flatiron facsimile of a popular restaurant in London. And it works here just as well as it works over there.
Sushi of Gari 46
A Midtown West/Times Square location of this classic New York sushi restaurant. Sushi of Gari is a solid option for the area.
Beaubourg
Beaubourg, the restaurant at Brookfield Place inside the French marketplace Le District, is easily forgettable and should generally be avoided.
Carbone
Carbone is red sauce Italian restaurant theater, and it’s a show you shouldn’t miss. This is one of New York City’s absolute best restaurants.
Dirty French
Dirty French is a Lower East Side French restaurant from the people behind Carbone, and like that place, dinner here is definitely an event.
Empellón
The Empellón in MIdtown is bigger and fancier than either of the Empellóns downtown, and it’s good to know about if you work in the area.
