A river valley in Luxembourg, a historic town in southeastern Czech Republic, and the coast of Portugal are a few of the many, many places that we’d like to travel right about now. While that’s probably not in the cards for the foreseeable future, you can at least taste wines from all of these places on Wednesday nights at Skin Contact. For one hour at 6, 7, and 8pm, Wine Director Eben Lillie is leading socially distant outdoor tastings at this natural wine bar on the Lower East Side. Each session is centered around a specific theme, like natural or skin contact wines, and includes four pours per person for $36.
Skin Contact, which opened a few weeks before the shutdown, is offering nearly 200 bottles from its long list of small production wines for pickup through its website, but to reserve any of the eight seats for a Wednesday night tasting, shoot them a DM on Instagram.
