The Infatuation’s first-ever Pride Bake Sale is here! Throughout June we’ll be partnering with LGBTQ+ and ally bakeries in New York City, Chicago, and LA to make one-of-a-kind treats to celebrate Pride.
Not only are these creations sweet and sparkly, they’re helpful too. The Pride Bake Sale will benefit The Queer Food Foundation, with The Infatuation donating $50,000 on behalf of partner bakeries to help fight food insecurity in the LGBTQ+ community. You can learn more about The Queer Food Foundation’s important work here.
So gather your rainbow sprinkle-loving friends, get involved by supporting these spots, save room for a tie-dye concha, and enjoy the sweetest celebration of Pride possible.
THE SPOTS
This bakery makes some of the most interestingly spiced and seasoned cookies around. For the Bake Sale, they will be offering The Stonewall (Cookie) Sando online, with delivery nationwide, and at pop-ups throughout the month. A collaboration with Brooklyn Brewery, it involves an IPA and grapefruit glaçage, sandwiched between lemon oatmeal cookies.
This Queer-owned Lebanese market in Greenpoint has only been open since 2020, but has quickly become a neighborhood staple and community hub. Drop into the store during June for the Biscuit Au Chocolat, a new take on Edy’s popular (and not always available) salty frozen chocolate ganache cookies, now rolled in rainbow sprinkles for Pride.
Ursula recently moved to Bed-Stuy and with it came an expansion of the menu at this New Mexican-inspired, Queer-owned spot—they’ve now got a full dinner menu alongside the breakfast burritos the entire city can’t stop talking about. For the Bake Sale they’ll be offering a Rainbow Concha, available all through June.
