It would be easier to list what jobs Michael Strahan hasn’t had in his more than 30-year career as a TV-host, entrepreneur, and former Giants defensive end. His latest endeavor is Michael Strahan Daily Skin Defense: everything you’d need to create a great shaving and skincare routine, from a guy who barely has any wrinkles after more than a decade of sacking quarterbacks in the sun.
When Strahan’s not getting fake-slapped on Good Morning America, he enjoys eating out in some of New York’s best new restaurants, as well as some reliable classics. These are his favorite spots for impressing visitors that also hold up for jaded locals, like one of our favorite rooftops in Brooklyn and an old-school Italian joint with excellent chicken parm.

“This restaurant has such a great mix of cultures. You’re looking at Lincoln Center while listening to hip-hop music and enjoying the ambiance. And the food is fantastic."

“I love American Bar for entertaining guests coming to New York. They have a great menu with options for anyone, whether you want to keep it healthy or go all out. Try the miso cod there and if you want to treat yourself a tiny bit, split the ice cream sundae with the whole table.”

“Kiki’s on the Lower East Side never fails to impress. Amazing and fresh Greek food that’s 10/10 every time. It’s not too pricy, and perfect to go with friends for a nice experience. Get a carafe of wine and share a bunch of apps with your group.”

“Emilio’s Ballato is hands down the best Italian food in NY. Prepare to walk out and go straight to bed and sleep off that chicken parm. It’s a classic that your out-of-towners will keep talking about for months.”

“Is Brooklyn considered NYC? I don’t get to Brooklyn often because of my schedule, but Laser Wolf is an incredible experience. The elevated Middle Eastern food and all the dips they serve combined with the stunning rooftop is sure to impress your guests.”
