Morgenstern's Finest Ice Cream
Morgenstern's in Greenwich Village is an ice cream shop that also serves some savory items. Stick with their burgers and unique varieties of ice cream.
PLNT Burger
PLNT Burger is a chain serving plant-based food, and it's ideal for any vegans who don't have a lot of time to eat.
7th Street Burger
7th Street Burger in the East Village always draws a crowd, and their burgers are worth the wait.
Minetta Tavern
Minetta Tavern in Greenwich Village is home to some of the best steaks, chops, burgers, and overall feel good vibes that New York City has to offer.
BK Jani
BK Jani is a counter-service place in Williamsburg serving meat-heavy Pakistani street food that you’ll think about when you’re in bed late at night.
Emily
Emily in Clinton Hill still makes excellent pizza and burgers, just don’t expect it to be the exciting restaurant it was when it opened in 2014.
Au Cheval
The original Au Cheval in Chicago makes one of our all-time favorite burgers, and the location in Tribeca serves a damn good one as well.
Hudson Malone
Hudson Malone is a rare Midtown East pub where you can eat good food and watch sports on TV at the very same time.
Burger & Lobster
The Popular London restaurant chain's first NYC location is in Chelsea, and it has mixed results. The burger is great, but the lobster? Not so hot.
Umami Burger
From sad plasticky tater tots to instantly liquifying buns, Umami Burger has failed The Infatuation time after time.
Zaitzeff
Once you get past the prices, the burgers at Zaitzeff are pretty damn enjoyable. While it's not our favorite spot, you could certainly do worse for yourself in the Financial District.
J.G. Melon
JG Melon is an Upper East Side burger institution. It's also the best and cheapest thing you can hit for lunch after the Met.
Bill's Bar & Burger
We had hoped that instead of conforming to Midtown, Bill’s Bar and Burger would make Midtown conform to it. It did not.
Walker’s
Walker’s is a Tribeca landmark – a prime example of a Classic NYC Establishment, and a low key spot that attracts an older crowd who enjoy a good burger and some Sports on TV.
Red Hook Tavern
Red Hook Tavern is from the people behind Hometown Bar-B-Que, and it’s a great spot to sit at the bar, drink wine, and eat an extremely good burger.
Shake Shack Times Square
We’re happy to report that this increase in Shake Shake quantity has had no ill effects on the quality. Just be aware going in, Shake Shack Times Square is quite the tourist attraction.
Emily West Village
Emily West Village is a mashup of the original Emily in Clinton Hill and Emmy Squared in Williamsburg.
Island Burgers & Shakes
For a quick hitter in Hell's Kitchen, Island Burgers & Shakes is a decent local option. Beyond that, please do us a favor and venture elsewhere for a burger more satisfying.
The Happiest Hour
For those times in your life when you just need a stiff drink and delicious burger in the West Village, The Happiest Hour is the move.
P.J. Clarke’s
P.J. Clarke’s has been rocking a good burger for decades. Let’s give the elders some credit. The only thing we don’t like about P.J. Clarke’s is that it’s almost always insufferably busy.
Shake Shack
I once saw a man at Shake Shack, dressed in a suit and setting a formal table. On the small metal table he placed a white tablecloth, fine silverware, a candle, and some flowers. For a moment, I was overcome with joy at the beautiful event that was about to unfold before me...this man was about to propose to a burger.
