Zaatar is a Lebanese takeout spot in Hallandale Beach that also sells Middle Eastern groceries, like olives, tea, and Turkish delight. They specialize in wraps, and make a very good shawarma wrap. The baba ghanouj is exceptional too—creamy and smoky from the roasted eggplants—and the hummus is assertively lemony like a proper Lebanese-style hummus should be. The falafels are also tasty and made with more coarsely ground chickpeas and bulgur, which make them fluffier than most other falafels. There are a few tables inside where you can eat, but Zaatar is primarily a takeout option.
