This Mexican restaurant has a location in Homestead and another in Florida City. The Florida City spot is smaller, located in a gas station, and is right down the street from Robert Is Here. As the name suggests, the specialty here is tacos, and Morelia does them really well (we love their carnitas) and also has one of our favorite salsa bars this side of Dade County. But what you should really be ordering here is an alambre, which is everything you love about fajitas and fondue on one sizzling plate. If you believe pineapple belongs on a pizza, then order the Hawaiian: al pastor marinated pork, carne asada, chorizo, bacon, bell peppers, onions, pineapple, and melted mozzarella and cheddar. Otherwise, the regular alambre or shrimp alambre are good choices. The tortillas here—both corn and flour—are excellent too. Order a stack to take home with you.
