It’s not a destination, but Fratelli Milano is a solid option if you’re hungry and looking for a reasonably priced Italian spot Downtown. They have a long list of pasta options, including a buttery fiocchi di pera e tallegio and a football-sized lasagna that might be a little cold in the middle. Their contadina pizza is packed with Italian sausage, mushrooms, bell peppers, and has a crust that’s more cracker-like in texture and taste (but we’re not mad about it). They have some outdoor sidewalk seating, and the dining room has a hutch full of wines and a pastry display.

Macchialina is our favorite Italian restaurant in Miami, and the best reason to eat in South Beach right now. Get the lasagna and sit outside if the weather is nice.

Soya e Pomodoro is a charming Italian restaurant in Downtown heavily decorated with random things and hosts occasional live jazz.
