Redfish is a waterfront restaurant located inside Matheson Hammock Park with a big outdoor patio, which is absolutely where you want to sit. The menu is mostly seafood and some other things like fried chicken and steaks. But the view is really the reason you come here - and you’ll be paying for it too. This place is very expensive, and usually full of diners celebrating occasions special enough to justify a $56 seafood stew. That stew - like most of the food here - is fine, but not good enough to warrant the steep prices. However, Matheson Hammock Park is undeniably beautiful (and open to the public in case you just want to stroll through) and the outdoor tables give you a great view of it all. But check the radar if you have a reservation. The outdoor tables aren’t safe from spontaneous Miami storms. We learned that the hard way.
