Dōma
A meal at this Wynwood Italian restaurant starts and ends on a high note—the middle just needs some work. The soft egg is phenomenal and comes with tons of black truffles, mushrooms, and parmesan espuma (so save your bread). And the artichoke tuna salad is simultaneously crunchy, creamy, salty, and slightly sweet. But despite its beautiful plating, the beef tartare is overpowered by soy sauce. And some pastas are slightly undercooked (even for al dente). Redemption arrives with dessert: a giant serving of fluffy pistachio ice cream. But beyond the food—Dōma is a refreshing lifesaver in a sea of Wynwood's insufferable trend-chasing spots. It’s a lively restaurant with a sophisticated gray dining room, excellent service, creative food, and lovely outdoor seating. In other words: a solid Wynwood option.
