Cafe Prima Pasta is a classic North Beach Italian spot. The interior has the snug, wooden vibes that so many great Italian neighborhood restaurants seem to have. There are (fake) flickering candles and red bulbs that give the dining room a warm glow. The menu has staples like lasagna, chicken parmesan, fried calamari, penne vodka, and more crowd-pleasers. None of it's mind-blowing, but it's the kind of dependably good food that’s perfect for family meals or casual weeknight dinners with a few friends or a date.

Macchialina is our favorite Italian restaurant in Miami, and the best reason to eat in South Beach right now. Get the lasagna and sit outside if the weather is nice.
