Babe's Meat & Counter

Babe’s is a deli and market in Palmetto Bay. You can stop by for some supplies to make a nice dinner—but it's really a shame to come here without eating something of their small but excellent menu. Their sandwiches are among Miami's best. They offer breakfast and lunch and pretty much everything is great, from the bacon banh mi to the cheeseburger. It’s simple, quality stuff that all has one thing in common: very good meat. There aren't any tables to eat inside, so expect to take whatever you order to-go. Thankfully most of the menu consists of handheld foods you can happily scarf down in your front seat.

Babe's Burger

Babe’s keeps it pretty simple with just American cheese, pickles, and sriracha mayo. The bun is one of those squishy burger buns, and it gets nice and steamed the longer you leave it in its wrapper. Every bite is pure, classic burger perfection.

Cuban Sandwich

Since Babe’s is a butcher shop, it’s no surprise that the best part of this excellent sandwich is the meat. The smoked ham and roast pork are the headliners you bought tickets to see. The pickles, Swiss cheese, mustard, and Cuban bread (which they bake themselves) are very capable and talented background singers.

Kimchi Dog

Babe's kimchi dog can often be found as a special, and if you see it—order it. The kimchi adds a spicy, tangy dimension to their snappy Fripper’s dog. The whole thing is then topped with creamy mayonnaise that gives it a simultaneous cool and warm temperature contrast.
