Apocalypse BBQ
A rundown caddie shack in the middle of Kendall’s Killian Greens golf course is the last place you’d expect to find some of Miami’s best barbecue. But that's just what Apocalypse is making. Prepare to wait if you don’t get there early, and they might run out of a few things even if you do. But it’s worth it, and the small dining room has a short bar that’s first-come-first-served if you don’t want to wait for an actual table. Once you’re situated, order the half rack of pork ribs. The meat is massaged with a smokey coffee rub and finished with a colada barbecue sauce so strong and sweet they should serve it in those plastic thimble-sized coffee cups. And the ribs are so tender they’re holding onto the bone for dear life. But if they do run out of those ribs, it’s not the end of the world. They have more great dishes, like the boss burger—which is one of our favorite burgers in Miami.
