The Surf Club is an upscale fine-dining spot in Surfside. It’s very expensive, but it delivers a pretty unforgettable dinner.
The Palm
The Palm is an old school American steakhouse in Bay Harbor Islands great for dinner with the parents or pretending it's the '50s.
Mr. OmaKase
Mr. OmaKase is an excellent omakase in Downtown that’s not too formal, but incredibly delicious.
Uchi Miami
Uchi is an upscale restaurant in Wynwood with a huge menu full of excellent Japanese dishes.
L’atelier De Joël Robuchon
L’Atelier in the Design District is a fine dining French spot that’s a guaranteed impressive dinner.
Edge Brasserie & Cocktail Bar
Edge is an upscale steakhouse in Brickell. It’s pricey and formal, but the steak is very good.
Mignonette
Mignonette is a slightly upscale seafood spot on the edge of Downtown where you can find some of the best oysters in town.
Makoto
Makoto is an upscale Japanese restaurant in Bal Harbour with a pretty dining room and some tasty raw fish.
The Lido Bayside Grill
The Lido Bayside Grill is a waterfront restaurant inside Miami Beach’s Standard Hotel. The view (not the food) is the reason to come here.
Strawberry Moon
Strawberry Moon is a South Beach hotel restaurant. The Mediterranean food isn’t particularly memorable, but the interior design is.
Carbone
Carbone is a South Beach restaurant that just isn’t worth the trouble it takes to get a table.
PM Fish & Steak House
PM Fish is a strange, expensive Argentinian restaurant in Brickell where there’s really only one thing on the menu worth eating.

Novikov is an upscale spot in Downtown where you will spend a lot of money and be surrounded by people in businesswear.
Los Fuegos
Los Fuegos is an expensive, over-the-top steakhouse in Mid-Beach that isn’t as interesting as it looks.
Tea Room
Team Room is a fancy rooftop spot in Brickell. The food is just OK, but the view is fantastic.
Hiyakawa
Hiyakawa is an upscale Japanese restaurant in Wynwood. It has some really beautiful architecture and very good sushi too.
The Wagyu Bar
The Wagyu Bar is a very casual steakhouse on Coral Way that serves some really expensive cuts of steak.
Mamey
Mamey is a Caribbean restaurant inside Coral Gables’ Thesis Hotel with solid food and cocktails.
Intimo
Intimo is a fancy Nikkei restaurant in South of Fifth. The food’s not bad, but the interior is ridiculous and so bright you’ll need sunglasses.
Nativo Kitchen + Bar
Nativo is an upscale Venezuelan restaurant on the 25th floor of a Brickell hotel. It’s pretty formal, but the food is great.
Sugar
Sugar is a fancy rooftop bar in Brickell on top of the East Hotel. The drinks are expensive but the view is nice.
