Not in the mood to cook a feast? First of all, we extremely understand. Second of all, you should know that you have other options. Below, you’ll find five Thanksgiving takeout deals from restaurants we really like. There are mix-and-match a la carte menus, ready-to-eat feasts, and the best smoked turkey in the universe.
Hometown Barbecue’s smoked turkey is the greatest turkey we’ve ever tasted. Like, if turkey were basketball, Hometown’s is Michael Jordan and the one you cooked last year is the person scalping tickets outside. It’s that good. And here’s something to be grateful for: you can order that turkey - along with more barbecue classics and sides like sweet potato casserole, cornbread with honey butter, and stuffing - for Thanksgiving takeout. Tell your relatives you made it, and they’ll worship you for the next 364 days.
Ariete, one of our favorite restaurants in Miami, is offering a takeout deal at $85 per person, for four to eight people. Dinner include dishes like turkey breast, roasted calabaza, green bean casserole, thigh meat “pot pie", cranberry sauce, assorted pies and dessert, and more. Don’t you just feel like taking a nap after reading that? Orders must be placed by November 16.

Foirette is a vendor inside the Design District food hall MIA Market that makes really good rotisserie chicken. And if you still kind of want to cook (but only a little), check out their Thanksgiving package. They’re offering a 15-pound turkey that’s been brined for two days. It comes with cooking instructions, too. You can just order that, or add on any of their (pre-cooked) sides for an additional charge. Options include bacon/pork sausage/ brioche stuffing, sweet potato mash, and apple pie.
Blue Collar is a MiMo restaurant where every meal kind of feels like a big holiday dinner. So we’re sure their takeout Thanksgiving package will be lovely as well. The $300 meal (which feeds ten and will provide leftovers, according to Blue Collar) comes with a roasted and carved turkey, gravy, iceberg wedge salad, brioche and bacon stuffing, caramelized brussels sprouts, sweet corn and herbed butter, charred sweet potatoes with brown butter and maple syrup, mashed potatoes, and an apple pie. Order must be placed by 5pm, November 19, and pick up is 10am-3pm on Thanksgiving Day.
Mimi’s, a new Edgewater restaurant we like, is offering a Thanksgiving takeout package for $55 per person. It comes with turkey breast, gravy, cranberry sauce, beet salad, butternut squash soup, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, chorizo and turkey stuffing, green bean casserole, pie, and cookies. Orders must be placed by November 18, and you need to send an email through their website.
