Since the start of the pandemic, the thing we’ve been asked the most is which restaurants have outdoor seating. So, we made this guide. It has a whole bunch of options broken up by neighborhood. If you’re looking for more specific outdoor dining situations, these other guides might help.
Coconut Grove

Located within the Upper Buena Vista outdoor shopping complex, Vista has a decent amount of outdoor seating as well as some rooftop tables. Reservations are available on their website.
Chug’s has some outdoor seating in their courtyard and is serving their full menu to those dining outside. They aren’t taking reservations, so stop by for a casual breakfast or lunch.
Glass and Vine in Coconut Grove has a lot of outdoor seating on its back patio, which has a view of Peacock Park. Reservations are available online and the menu has things like watermelon salad, ceviche, and steak frites.
Monty’s is back open with a lot of outdoor seating, oysters, and frozen drinks. Reservations for the Coconut Grove seafood spot are recommended but not required. Happy Hour is Mon-Fri from 4-7pm.
Spillover has temporarily switched concepts to become “Kush by Spillover.” The Grove restaurant is now essentially doing an impression of its sister spot in Wynwood, with burgers, beer, cocktails, and outdoor seating. They have Happy Hour too, Mon-Fri from 5 to 7pm.
The recently rebranded Grove bar (which now goes by The Taurus) has outdoor seating and a new menu with a duck quesadilla, frita, pastrami sandwich, and burgers. You can make a reservation by calling (786) 615-3747.
Coral GAbles

Redfish is a waterfront restaurant located inside Matheson Hammock Park. There’s a big outdoor patio with just over 100 seats and a very big menu too, with mostly seafood with some other things like fried chicken and steaks. You can make a reservation online.
Titanic Restaurant & Brewery
Titanic Brewery in Coral Gables has set up some shaded picnic benches in the green space behind Titanic. Reservations aren’t required.
Downtown/Brickell/Key Biscayne

The Downtown cafe All Day is opening with only outdoor seating for the time being. They are also accepting reservations, which you can make online. Their menu will consist of the same great coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and brunch/lunch dishes you remember.
The Brickell sports bar/restaurant has seating available on its waterfront patio and you can make a reservation on their website. When sports do eventually return, it’ll be a good spot to watch alongside a burger, some wings, and a few beers.
The classic seafood spot on the Miami River is back open, and they’ve got waterfront tables on their back patio. Reservations are suggested. Make one by calling them at (786) 452-0161.
The Peruvian restaurant on Brickell Key is open for dine-in, serving dinner Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are required, especially if you want a waterfront table outside. You can make your reservation online.
The casual Greek restaurant Meraki has outdoor tables (and so does their Coconut Grove location). Reservations aren’t required, but you can make one just to be safe by calling (786) 773-1535.
Overtown's Rosie's has outdoor seating and serves some of the best food in Miami - a mix of Southern breakfast staples and pasta. Stop by for an excellent weekend brunch.
Rusty Pelican
Rusty Pelican in Key Biscayne is open daily for dinner and for weekend brunch. They have outdoor seating with a waterfront view and reservations are strongly encouraged. Book a table online.
Key Biscayne’s Whiskey Joe’s is open Wed-Sun. Reservations aren’t necessary at the waterfront seafood restaurant. You can also arrive by boat because the marina next door is open.
Little Haiti

Boia De has a small amount of outdoor seating. Reservations are definitely required for the tiny (and delicious) Italian restaurant. You can make one online. They’re also resuming takeout operations, including some small pantry items, ice cream, and wine.
Ironside is open for dine-in service with patio seating. The Little River Italian restaurant is mostly outdoors and accepts reservations. You can book one online or call them at (305) 531-5055.
Jaguar Sun is currently doing a weekend pop-up at Lot 6 in Little River. Their set up is entirely outdoors, with very spaced-out tables and a cashless system where you order on your phone. They’re serving things like oysters, tacos, and snapper aguachile. There’s no timetable on when this will end, so keep an eye out on their Instagram for announcements.
Little Havana

The cocktail bar and restaurant Casa Florida is back open. They are taking reservations online and have mostly outdoor seating.
The Little Havana spot Doce Provisions is open and has tables on its back patio. Their menu includes things like croquettes, fried chicken and waffles, and arroz imperial. You can make a reservation by calling (786) 452-0161, but walk-ins are welcome too.
La Camaronera has set up a tent in their parking lot. The small dining area has some fans too, in case you’re worried about sweating on your pan con minuta. Reservations aren’t available.
The very good Thai restaurant has set up a handful of outdoor tables on the sidewalk. The hours are Tue-Sat from noon-3pm and Sunday from 4-10pm. They’re also accepting takeout orders online.

Taquerias El Mexicano has opened its back patio daily until 10pm. There are picnic tables, big umbrellas, and their full food and cocktail menu. Reservations aren’t required.
Versailles has put up a tent in their parking lot (complete with chandeliers) and are offering socially distanced service. They aren’t accepting reservations at the moment.
MiMo

Andiamo in MiMo is open for dine-in service. Pretty much all of the tables at this pizzeria are outdoors (and covered, in case it rains). They’re also still doing takeout and delivery, which you can order by calling (305) 762-5751.
Blue Collar has set up new picnic benches in the courtyard to expand their number of outdoor tables. You can make a reservation online but walk-ins are also welcome. The MiMo restaurant will continue to offer takeout and delivery as well.
The newest restaurant from Kush Hospitality has some outdoor seating, including some waterfront seating. Stop by for burgers, cocktails, fried frog legs, and more.
MiMo’s Phuc Yea is open for dine-in and has tables available on their front porch and in their backyard patio. The Vietnamese/Cajun spot is recommending reservations. Make one via their website.
Miami Beach

Azabu
The South of Fifth Japanese restaurant Azabu is open for dine-in with covered outdoor seating. They are accepting reservations via their website or you can give them a call at (786) 276-0520.
The Bazaar by José Andrés
The upscale restaurant inside the SLS South Beach is offering patio seating. You’ll want to make a reservation though, and you can do that by calling (305) 455-2999.
Bebitos is a South Beach cafe serving breakfast, lunch, and coffee. They have lots of egg dishes, bowls, sandwiches, and outdoor seating. The current hours are daily from 8am-4pm, and reservations aren’t required.
The South Beach taco spot has set up some additional shaded picnic benches outside the shop, where you can eat your tacos and sip a frozen margarita. Reservations aren’t required.
Miami Beach’s Broken Shaker is open and doing weekend brunch again. Grab a reservation online. Their sister restaurant, 27, remains closed for the time being.
CAO Bakery & Cafe
CAO Bakery on Alton Road has covered its parking lot in astro turf, put up a tent, and expanded its outdoor seating. Stop by for a casual lunch or breakfast and eat things like Cuban sandwiches, pastelitos, or arroz con pollo croquetas.
Diya
Diya is a vegetarian Indian restaurant in Sunset Harbour. They have outdoor seating and serve things like cheese dosas, a crispy eggplant burger, and “naanwiches.”
The Surfside deli has set up a little outdoor dining area outside their restaurant. Reservations aren’t required and the outdoor seating is covered in case it rains. They’re also still offering takeout as well.
Lucali in Sunset Harbour has set up tables outside the restaurant. They still aren’t taking reservations, but takeout is an option here as well in case there’s a wait.
Macchialina is back open for outdoor dining. The excellent Italian restaurant has taken over the patio next door and now has covered seating. Reservations are required, make yours online.
Matador Room
The restaurant inside the Edition in Mid-Beach is back open for dine-in. Reservations are required and can be made online. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating scattered around the hotel pool.
The South of Fifth Argentinian spot Orilla is open and has covered patio seating. Orilla is accepting reservations online.
The plant-based restaurant in South of Fifth is open with patio seating. They’ve got vegan burgers and sushi, amongst other things, and reservations are available online
Prime 112
South of Fifth’s Prime 112 is open and has outdoor seating. The upscale steakhouse has its full menu available, and reservations can be made by calling (305) 532-8112.
Pubbelly is open with outdoor dining. You can make a reservation for the Sunset Harbour spot online.
Taquiza has opened its North Beach location for outdoor dining. They have patio tables and will be switching to more of a fast-casual system for the time being, where you order at the counter. Reservations aren’t necessary.
The fried chicken restaurant just off Lincoln Road has sidewalk seating, and is still serving weekend brunch too. You can make a reservation online.
Wynwood/Allapattah/Design District/Edgewater

Wynwood’s 1-800-Lucky is open with some outdoor seating available in their courtyard. Their hours are Wed-Sun from noon-11pm, and vendors inside the market have everything from sushi and dumplings to ice cream. They aren’t accepting reservations.
Amara, a seafood spot with a fantastic waterfront view, just opened back up for dine-in service. Most of the seating is outside anyway and you can make reservations online. They’re currently open Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday - but those hours could change, so feel free to call ahead.
The Wynwood Mexican spot has outdoor seating available and will be open for dine-in service Mon-Fri from noon-10pm. The full menu is available, as well as Happy Hour from 4-7pm. You can make a reservation through their website.

The Wynwood beer garden and restaurant Butcher Shop is open with outdoor seating. They’ve got cocktails, beer, sausages, and burgers. Reservations aren’t required.
Several Coyo Taco locations in Miami are now open for dine-in service and all of them have at least a few outdoor tables. The Brickell, Wynwood, and Coral Gables locations are all open and you do not need a reservation.
The Wynwood sports bar has a decent amount of seating in their back patio. They’ve got beer, cocktails, and bar food like wings. A reservation is a good idea and you can make one online.

Itamae is an outstanding Nikkei restaurant in the Design District. They have outdoor seating, natural wine, and some of the best Peruvian food in Miami.
Kush has expanded its outdoor seating and has some tables and picnic benches along the sidewalk. Stop by (if it’s not raining) for some burgers and beer. Reservations aren’t required.
Under normal circumstances, KYU is entirely indoors. But they’ve recently converted some street parking into a handful of outdoor tables. The capacity is limited, so make a reservation online.
Some bars that serve food are allowed to operate under phase one rules, which is why Lagniappe is open for the first time in months. The wine bar has a lot of tables outside and will host live music every night from 8-11pm in their backyard. Reservations are not available.
The Wynwood restaurant and cocktail bar is open and has patio seating. They do rotisserie chicken, a great burger, and Sunday brunch. Make a reservation online.
This Basque restaurant is inside Allapattah’s Rubell Museum. They’re in a sort of soft opening right now, serving lunch Wed-Sun, from 11am-3:30pm. The menu includes things like Iberico ham croquets and some delicious paella.
Only outdoor seating is available at the Greek Design District spot right now. The restaurant’s retail store, Mrs. Mandolin, will be selling pantry items from the dining room. They’ll be open daily from noon-11pm and a reservation is a good idea. Make one online or by calling (305) 749-9140.
Wynwood’s Palmar has some outdoor tables set up. They’re currently offering a tasting menu for $50 per person. Make a reservation online.
The Wynwood restaurant Three has merged with its rooftop lounge. Now it’s serving brunch and dinner from the outdoor space just above the dining room. You can make a reservation online.
The Midtown Italian restaurant is open and has a backyard with a handful of tables. The restaurant is also offering two specials: 50% off select menu items every Tuesday and 50% off all bottles of wine every Wednesday. You can make a reservation online or by calling (786) 359-4990.
