8 Exciting Things To Do & Eat This Halloween
Drive-in movies, backyard barbecues, warehouse raves, and more spooky fun.
Looking for something fun to do on Halloween weekend in Miami? You know, besides sitting on the couch in costume while eating pounds of candy you bought for the trick-or-treaters that never showed up? (That sounds fun too, by the way). Well, we have some suggestions. Here are the most fun and exciting Halloween events happening in Miami.
Paradis Books & Bread
Halloween Backyard BBQ
From noon to 10pm on Halloween, the wonderful North Miami wine bar and restaurant is throwing a backyard barbecue with food from Dirty Smoke N The Boys. There will be food, DJs spinning vinyl, Halloween movies, and lots of wine and beer.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show
O Cinema is doing their annual Rocky Horror Halloween showing at the adorable little North Beach Bandshell. If you haven’t been fortunate enough to attend an in-person Rocky Horror showing (especially a Halloween one), you can expect lots of shouting, costumes, and singing along.

Hocus Pocus Halloween Festival
The team behind Club Space and Space Park are debuting a brand new event space for a three-day Halloween party featuring Danny Daze, Bob Moses, Marco Carola, and tons more local and international DJs. The warehouse venue is located near Hialeah at a “secret venue." We assume you’ll be given the address once you purchase a ticket.
Various Spooky Movies
Nite Owl Drive-In is a great drive-in movie set up in Downtown Miami, and they’re currently hosting a schedule of very October-appropriate movies. On Halloween weekend, they’ve got some great options including Halloweentown, Scream, Halloween, and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Sweet Beach Halloween Reopening Party
Last year, the team from the excellent bar Sweet Liberty launched an outdoor pop-up in the back of South Beach’s Shelborne Hotel - and it’s reopening at 4pm on Halloween. The reopening party will include cocktails, a DJ, a new food menu, and a costume contest.
Entry is free
Sweet Liberty Drink & Supply Co.
The Swayzees At Sweet Liberty
Or you could just go to the actual Sweet Liberty, which is hosting one of our favorite South Florida bands on Halloween night, The Swayzees. This Keys rockabilly band is always a blast to watch, and they will be performing all night at the South Beach bar, starting at 9pm.
Entry is free
A Bootanical HalloweenBuy tickets here
For something a bit more family-friendly, check out the beautiful Fairchild Botanic Garden’s Bootanical Halloween. The event takes place from 5-9pm on Halloween and there will be lots of activities throughout the gorgeous property, including jack-o-lantern decorating, a trick-or-treat path, food trucks, and more.
Kush Coconut Grove
Yappy Hour at Kush Coconut GroveEntry is free
Do you take pride in designing a killer costume for your dog every Halloween? Then show it off at Kush Coconut Grove for their Halloween Yappy Hour. The event takes place from 3-5pm on Halloween, and will feature drink specials, raffles, and a dog costume contest, which we have no doubt will be adorable.
