Something To Do This Weekend: Phuc Yea and LaTraila Backyard Barbecue

We can’t predict the future, but this is probably going to be tasty.

Events are slowly but surely returning in Miami. And if you’re looking for something potentially fun and tasty this weekend, we have an option for you to consider. This Saturday, April 17, Phuc Yea is collaborating with the soon-to-open LaTraila Barbecue for an outdoor party consisting of barbecue, crawfish, cocktails, and music.

The event will take place in MiMo, at Phuc Yea’s back patio. There will be a DJ, food, and drinks - and the event starts at 12:45pm. It’s all free and open to the public, but there are also a few ticketed options: a $20 ticket will get you one drink, ice cream from Salt & Straw, and allow you to skip to the front of the line for food. There’s a $35 ticket option too, which gets you all of the above plus a pound of crawfish. And if you buy a ticket, you’ll also be allowed into the event at noon - 45 minutes before general entry. But both ticket holders and non-ticket holders will have access to LaTraila’s pop-up menu, which includes brisket, pork and beef ribs, sausages, and sides like mac and cheese, potato salad, baked beans, and creamed corn.

Full disclosure: we have yet to try LaTraila, although the photos look pretty good. However, we generally trust Phuc Yea when they say they have some delicious things to eat. Because, in our experience, they usually do. Also, there’s a good chance you haven’t been to an event outside your living room in quite some time. So, if all this sounds fun to you, you can buy a ticket or RSVP for free online. And if, for some reason, you’re still hungry after this is over - check out our guide to the Best Restaurants in MiMo.
