The Doughroom is a very solid neighborhood bar/restaurant in a part of town (Palms) without much of anything in the way of solid restaurants. The casual spot has good pizza (the goat cheese-topped Van Damme is a must), an excellent craft beer stock, plenty of TVs to catch the game, and half-off wine bottles on Tuesdays. If you’re looking for a no-frills midweek dinner in the Culver area, Doughroom is as good as it gets.

Mega Pizza and Grill
Mega Grill isn't great food, but sometimes you don't need over-sized delivery pizza to be great.
Pasta Sisters Culver City
The second location of casual Italian restaurant Pasta Sisters proves that bigger is occasionally better.

The Blue Dog Beer Tavern
Blue Dog is one of our favorite neighborhood drinking spots in the Valley.
The New York-iest bar in Los Angeles, the Village Idiot is always there when you need it, and the British pub food is good too.
