LA is no stranger to sushi empires, but few have achieved the popularity (and accessibility) of Sugarfish. Plain and simple, this is the highest-quality sushi at the best price in town. There are many locations around LA these days, but don’t fear, the quality hasn’t dropped a bit. You can still get your nine-course Trust Me dinner for about $30 (it fluctuates between lunch and dinner) and walk away thrilled. The Santa Monica location can get even crazier than most (all those tourists need their Sugarfish fill), so if you can’t deal with the wait, takeout here is never a bad move.
