There’s no shortage of classic Cambodian restaurants in Long Beach, but Shlap Muan is a newer spot, one that specializes in fried chicken wings. The owners previously ran a fast causal wing shop in SF, but relocated to their parent's Cambodian restaurant in North Long Beach and expanded their menu to include dishes like beef lok lak and chicken garlic noodles. While we liked the traditional Cambodian food here, the standout items are the saucy wings. Each piece of crispy fried chicken comes tossed in sauces like orange habanero or sweet-spicy garlic. Get the “Grande” combo with eight wings, rice, and a fried egg for some excitement at the end of a long week.
