Noma Sushi
Noma is a Santa Monica staple because of its large list of inexpensive specialty rolls and an atmosphere that makes the most of its strip-mall location. But don't come here for sushi exclusively. They've also got an extensive menu of bento boxes, sukiyaki soups, and tons more. Everything is good here, from the tempura rolls to the best knock-off Nobu miso cod you’ll find. Don’t miss the Garlic Lover’s Albacore.
It’s a great Japanese lunch spot or place for dinner if you’re planning on an extreme night of karaoke at The Gaslite across the street. Just know, all of Santa Monica seems to be in on this secret, so don't be alarmed if you have to wait 20 or 30 minutes for a table.
