Flor Y Solera

From walking your dog on the Sixth Street Bridge to drinking an IPA at a barcade, there’s a lot you can do in the Arts District. What you couldn't do, however, was find a good tapas spot for a fun but relatively low-volume date night. Enter Flor Y Solera, a Spanish restaurant from The Factory Kitchen people where you can get a glass of sherry and potato omelette with someone who thinks your periwinkle loafers are cute. There’s an L-shaped bar in the middle of the industrial dining room, plus a bunch of spaced-out tables lining a wall-to-wall banquette. This cement-walled restaurant is on the upscale side (read: not cheap), but you’ll be pleasantly surprised at how good the food is at this former factory near the LA River.
