This Silver Lake bar isn’t much more than a doorframe along Sunset, but walk down the stairs and you’ll pop out into a hidden drinking oasis. The cocktails are cheap, the crowd is cool, and the two-tiered patio (with old movies projecting on the wall) is the ideal casual hangout spot. There’s also a fantastic little theater attached with nightly events ranging from live music to flamenco lessons.

The food at Forage is fresh. The recipes are amazing. And they will plate you a nasty-good plate of baked mac n’ cheese that is definitely not Whole30 Diet approved. Damn you, farm-to-table morons. You got this one right.
Is there a restaurant that embodies Silver Lake more than this Mexican walk-up window? We think not.
Night + Market Song
Night + Market Song is the second location of LA’s best Thai restaurant, and it’s every bit as good as the original.

Pan Am Experience
Located on an old movie sound stage in Pacoima, at Pan Am Experience you’ll be eating dinner inside a replica of the airline’s famous Boeing 747.
4100 Bar is an old Silver Lake standby and a great place to get a little drunker than you had planned.
Lot 1 Cafe
Lot 1 Cafe in Echo Park does fine American food and unlimited bottomless brunch, but you're really here for the live music.
