Ashland Hill is a place no one seemed to care much about when it opened, but has risen to become a Santa Monica after-work go-to. The bar food (especially the mac and cheese) is solid, and that big beer garden is very dog-friendly and wonderful on a weekday night. There’s a Happy Hour every day of the week from 3pm - 6pm with $6 draft beer, gin and tonics, and wine.
