“Best Takeout Options For When You’re Consoling Your Roommate While Also Celebrating An Anniversary?”

How to celebrate V-Day while stuck in the middle.

Dear Infatuation,

Best takeout options for when you’re helping your roommate (who just ended a three-year relationship) swipe left and right, while also celebrating your own four-year anniversary? For context, we all live together.

Thanks,Stuck In The Middle

Dear Stuck In The Middle,

This is like that classic sitcom trope, where the main character goes to prom with two different people, but instead of changing outfits in the bathroom or jumping between secret dates and family luaus, you’ll be on high alert, monitoring the moods of both your roommate and lover.

First of all, take a deep breath. That situation sounds rather stressful, so the best solution here is to party. Go absolutely off, have some fun, and do it all together. This way, you’ll get the best of both worlds - your roommate will feel included, while things are still kept celebratory for you and your boo.

Cassia in Santa Monica is doing a family-style Southeast-Asian BBQ and serving Vietnamese-Cajun noodles, vegetable soup, and smoked short ribs and cauliflower (plus plenty of sides) that can feed up to six people. In Echo Park, Bar Flores has a fantastic Valentine’s Day to-go cocktail pack that comes with mezcal, house-made creme de violette liqueur, and blackberry, raspberry, and lime garnishes for a round of drinks that screams, “I’m here for you” both in a friend way and romantic way. Congratulations, Hannah Montana.

XOXO, The Infatuation
