For all you calendar sticklers who have been holding off on summer shenanigans, we have some news: summer has officially begun. And as if right on cue, this weekend is host to various neighborhood festivals, wine parties, on-going Pride celebrations, and more.
The 4th annual Venice Summer Fest is returning this Saturday, June 25th from 12-8pm. Taking over Venice Blvd. between Centinela and Grand View, the all-day event will feature over 150 local bands, 300+ designers and artisan shops, food trucks, beer gardens, and more. Admission is free.
To celebrate the launch of a new wine line, Silver Lake Wine is throwing a big party this Sunday, June 26th at Everson Royce Bar. Running from 2-8pm, the event will feature DJs, a Triple Beam pop-up, gin cocktails courtesy of Future Gin, and of course, lots of wine. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome.
We’ve reached the final weekend of Pride month, but luckily, there are still tons of exciting events happening all over the Southland. There’s the OC’s official Pride Festival as well as the SFV’s, special Pride nights at Cinespia and the LA Sparks, beach parties, and more.
This Sunday, June 26th marks the return of LA’s Black Excellence Market in El Segundo. Running from 2-6pm, the event will feature over 60 black-owned businesses, cocktails, food vendors, DJs, raffles, and even car washes. General admission is free, but $10 will get you a bottomless mimosa wristband.
LA legend Moo’s Craft Barbecue is hosting their fourth and final BBQ collab this Saturday, June 25th in honor of their one year anniversary in Lincoln Heights. And this weekend’s collaboration is with Central Coast favorite Priedite BBQ. The menu will feature smoked lamb barbacoa tacos and grilled peach and tomato salad. The event runs from noon until everything is sold out, so be sure to place your pre-orders starting Wednesday, June 22nd.
The South Bay Festival Of The Arts is this Saturday, June 25th from 11am-5pm at the Torrance Cultural Arts Center. The event will feature three different stages hosting live performances, hands on art demonstrations, food and beer vendors, and wine tastings. Admission is free, but for $150, you’ll get access to the VIP food and beverage lounge, VIP parking, and preferred seating at all performances.
