THE SPOTS
GET SMOKY
Over in Culver City, classic BBQ spot Maple Block is hosting their annual Blocktoberfest this Sunday, October 16th. The event runs from 12-4pm and will feature local craft brewers, live music, cornhole tournaments, and of course, lots of smoked meat. Specialties include sausage links, tri-tip, and spare ribs. Tickets range from $55-75, and include full food access.
SIT DOWN AND GET DOWN
In one of the most eye-catching restaurant collabs of the month, Bridgetown Roti and Ggiata are teaming up this Thursday, October 13th, for a special “sit-down” dinner from 6-10pm at Ggiata in East Hollywood. Expect crossover dishes like oxtail French dip, mango curry arancini, and coconut almond cheesecake. All the food is available via pre-order—either a la carte or as a prix-fixe with an open bar—and there’ll be DJs spinning through the night as well.
SHOP, SIP, & SNACK
This Sunday, October 16th, Maum Market is back at Neuehouse Hollywood with an exciting line-up of Korean and Asian brands and small businesses. The pop-up event will feature over 40 different vendors selling clothing, ceramics, food, and drinks, plus live music and kid-friendly activities as well. Tickets for the event are $5, which runs from 11am-4pm.
WANDER THROUGH A MARKET
In honor of Filipino American History Month, non-profit Manila District is hosting a one-day market in Downtown celebrating Filipino-owned businesses and other creatives. Running from 11am-4pm, the event will feature over 15 vendors selling everything from Filipino BBQ to eco-friendly home decor. The market is free to the public.
